Our school’s Jump Rope for Heart Day is on:
Friday February 17th, 2012
In Heart&Stroke Jump Rope for Heart, students participate in fun skipping and jumping challenges. Leading up to event day, kids are encouraged to raise funds (pledges) and in return earn thank you prizes for their individual fundraising efforts. Each student is given a collection envelope they can use to raise pledges from family, friends, and neighbours. For safety reasons, we suggest students do NOT go door-to-door.
Did you know that more than 8 out of 10 Canadian children between the ages of 5 and 17 aren’t active enough to support optimal health and development, putting our children at serious risk for heart disease at a young age – but it doesn’t have to be this way.
Let’s work together to make a difference.
Support your child’s fundraising efforts. You can donate at the $15, $30 or even $50 level to get your child started. Students can also fundraise online at JumpRopeForHeart.ca! Sponsors donating online will receive an automatic tax receipt.
Students are asked to collect their pledges in the envelope provided. Collection envelopes and all pledges must be returned to the school by Friday February 17th, 2012 . Please mark your child‘s envelope to show which Student Thank You Prize they have earned. Please return the collection envelope, even if no pledges are received. Cheques should be made out to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
Once the pledges are received from all students, we will place the order for your prizes. From the date the order is placed, it takes approximately 6-8 weeks to receive the prizes.
Again, thank you so much for your support! Heart&Stroke Jump Rope for Heart benefits us all – your child gets active and learns to be heart healthy, our school can earn valuable resources, and we all help to support vital heart disease and stroke research and health education – for the future of our children!
